Features

An automation backbone for multi-cloud ops

The whole routine — log in to each console, find the instance, unbind the IP, allocate a new one, rebind, update DNS — compressed into one natural-language sentence.

One-command IP rotation

A unified operating model across AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud (OCI) and Vultr — rotate one server or the whole fleet without opening a single console.

Cloudflare DNS sync

A records update automatically after each rotation, so your domain always points at the live IP. Each profile can carry its own Cloudflare credentials.

Multi-instance profiles

Manage all your servers as profiles. Credentials stay on your machine — add, edit or remove them entirely through conversation.

Scheduled rotation

Pro supports task plans: rotate IPs automatically on a schedule and push results to webhooks in real time — ideal for unattended setups.

Slash quick commands

/ips-rotate, /ips-dns, /ips-list and more — frequent operations are one keystroke away.

Credential safety

Cloud credentials live only in your local config file and are passed per call. License keys are stored hashed; plaintext appears only at delivery.

How it works

Three steps, then just talk to your agent

Standard MCP protocol. The installer handles environment checks, dependencies and client configuration automatically.

1

One-click install

Run the install script — it clones the repo, installs dependencies, builds and writes ~/.workbuddy/mcp.json. Windows / macOS / Ubuntu supported.

2

Visual configuration

Fill in cloud credentials and your Cloudflare API Token in the browser form — or just tell your agent “add an AWS profile”.

3

Conversational ops

“Rotate the IPs of all my servers and update DNS.” One sentence triggers rotation + DNS sync, with results streamed back into the chat.

Quick commands

Not sure how to phrase it? Just type a slash

Five slash commands are deployed automatically at install time (type /ips in WorkBuddy to filter the list). Frequent operations need no prompt engineering — one keystroke, parameters filled in for you.

One tool across clouds and DNS

IPSwitch adapts to each provider natively — not a thin SDK wrapper. It picks the optimal rotation path per platform: stop/reassign on AWS, unbind-and-recreate on Azure, ephemeral-IP swap on OCI, reserved-IP migration on Vultr.

AWS EC2Elastic IP · stop & reassign
AzurePublic IP · unbind & recreate
Oracle Cloud (OCI)Ephemeral IP · RSA-SHA256 signing
VultrReserved IP · smooth migration

# All you say:
"Rotate the IP of aws-sg and
  sync the DNS record."

# IPSwitch automatically runs:
→ rotate_instance_ip(aws-sg)
→ wait for the new public IP
→ update_dns(app.example.com → new IP)
→ return a rotation summary

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the trial different from the paid version?
No. The 30-day trial unlocks every feature and simply expires when the time is up. Upgrading to a lifetime license is seamless — your bound machines are unaffected.
Are my cloud credentials safe?
Credentials are stored only in your local config file (~/.ip-switch/config.json) and passed per API call. Nothing is uploaded to third-party servers. License validation only transmits the key and a hashed machine ID.
Can I move my license to another computer?
Yes. One license binds up to 3 devices. Deactivate an old device from the config page to free a slot — no support ticket needed.
Does it work offline?
Yes. License validation includes a 72-hour offline grace period, so a temporary server outage never locks you out.
What is the refund policy?
We recommend validating everything with the free 30-day trial first. If something goes wrong after purchase, contact support and we'll handle it per our refund policy.
How long does one rotation take?
Typically 1–2 minutes per instance, including waiting for the new IP and syncing DNS. Batch rotations queue automatically with visible progress in the chat.
